Pug nose with a large hole facing up causing water into the nose monkey, so she often sneezes. To avoid exposure to rain water, the monkeys often sat with his head wedged between his knees. Monkey is believed to spend time in the summer on the plateau and close to the settlement residents during the winter to find food. Habitat surrounded by the Mekong River and Salween River make this monkey with another monkey isolated and difficult to find.
IFF estimates of species there are only about 300 left in the wild. This makes the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) put these species into the endangered category. Unfortunately, the hunt for consumption and illegal logging threatens the existence of this species.
