4 Due to Frequently Inhaling Gasoline Vapor


Jakarta, Be careful if you often inhaling gasoline vapor. Not only petrol pump attendant who got the impact, inhaling gasoline vapors during refueling at the pump (General Fuel Filling Station) also impacts on health.

Stinging smell of gasoline that could certainly inevitable. But according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, inhaling gas vapors that occur during refueling can increase health problems in man. Health hazards can affect short-term and long term.
Gasoline or petrol (commonly called gasoline in the United States and Canada) is a fuel made from crude oil and refined fuels are usually used for cars, boats or motorcycles.

Most people will feel dizzy if too long at refueling. Apart from the smell that stung, gasoline also contains several dangerous chemicals.

1. Dizziness
Inhaling gasoline vapors can make people dizzy, even in small quantities though. This effect will increase again when someone is inhaling smoke from burning gasoline. Dizziness may cause coordination problems that make a person experience difficulty in driving.

2. Cancer
According to the Wisconsin Department of Human Services gasoline contain a chemical called benzene. This substance has been linked with a possible increase in leukemia (blood cancer). Even the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety has mengidentifikan of ethylene dibromide in gasoline and has been shown to be a carcinogen that can cause cancer.

3. Nervous system damage
In addition to cause cancer, inhaling gasoline vapors can cause nervous system damage someone. This will disrupt the body's ability to send messages to the brain. Selan, it also can affect the brain's ability to translate signals and coordinating body to respond to the signals. The more often and the more a person inhaling gasoline vapor, then the damage will be even greater.

4. Sudden death (Sudden Sniffing Death)
New South Wales Department of Education reported no casualties who died suddenly and deliberately inhaling vapors from the gasoline habit. This condition is called sudden sniffing death.

This happens because by inhaling gasoline vapor can stimulate nerves in the body, which can slow the heart rate and can ultimately lead to death. Other factors that could cause the death of inhalation is an explosion, fire and a fatal choking
